QuickBooks Tips to Save Time – Ohio Ag Net
Brian Raven Craft
QuickBooks continues to be a very popular accounting software choice for many agribusiness owners. Do not mistake yourself. Those who work in this industry have a lot of free software choices. In fact, my team and I are constantly getting to know new agriculture specific software on the market. However, QuickBooks remains an industry leader. Our team is often asked about the time-saving tips available in the software. I recently asked some of the top software users to share a few tips with our company for this article. Hope their advice will help you.
Taking advantage of QuickBooks Online’s bank feed options is a great tool for staying up to date and reducing data entry. Frequently matched transactions help adjust at the end of the month. This saves time if you need to investigate an item. Find articles early and don’t run into time constraints later.
Connecting your QuickBooks Online bank and credit card accounts to your bank is a great way to quickly record your banking transactions with your accounting software without having to manually enter all of your transactions. It only takes a few minutes to establish a secure connection between QuickBooks and your bank. Once the connection is established, a banking transaction pull-through will begin daily. The program matches an existing entry in QuickBooks Online and adds a new record for the transaction based on the banking rules you created. Automation not only saves time, but also prevents data entry errors that can occur during manual data entry and makes bank reconciliation transparent at the end of the month.

One of the features of QB that I find very useful is “FIND”. This is from QuickBooks Desktop[編集]It’s on the menu. Otherwise, use Ctrl + F.
FIND allows you to search for a specific transaction using any number of filters. For example, if you are looking for a transaction of $ 155, you can use the amount filter. This will bring up all QuickBooks transactions for $ 155. You can further filter this search to find a specific date range. This feature has saved us a lot of time.
QuickBooks Online also has a FIND feature. Click on the magnifying glass at the top right[高度な検索]Select to apply a filter based on the transaction you are looking for.

Logging in to your QuickBooks bank account online can save you a lot of time. This tool is nothing new, but it can save you a lot of time every month. This allows banking transactions to flow into the software. You can create bank rules that match transactions that have already been entered to automatically classify transactions that occur on a regular basis. When your bank account is updated in real time, you get accurate and up-to-date images of your income and expenses.
QuickBooks Apps is one of the biggest time savers I use on a daily basis. These save a lot of time and reduce data entry by automatically populating QB with app activity. For example, the bill payment app records invoices and QB payments from the app. This reduces the time it takes to enter an invoice and manually print a check. Many payroll providers also have apps that sync payroll activity with QBO. Synchronizing with a payroll provider dramatically reduces the time it takes to manually enter payroll and payroll information for each employee.
