Job: Telesales Agent at Lorache Consulting Limited

Our client, a financial services provider, needs a fluent telemarketer to be responsible for soliciting sales over the phone. Telesales Agent responsibilities include contacting potential customers, reading a prescribed script, focusing on member-centric needs to close sales, and documenting member information, transactions, and feedback .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact potential or existing members to inform them about a product or service
  • Answer questions about products or the company
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
  • Direct prospect member information in the database to field sales agents
  • Handle complaints to preserve the company’s reputation
  • Go “one more” to reach sales quota and facilitate future sales Listen to members’ needs to generate repeat sales.
  • Collect and document member information on transactions and product reactions.
  • Keep up to date with all product knowledge and information
  • Pursue promising leads with persuasion and perseverance
  • Assist in resolving member complaints/disputes
  • Commit to team and individual quotas/goals
  • Meeting company expectations for excellent customer service
  • Maintain a friendly and professional tone at all times

TERMS

  • Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) in a telemarketer or other sales/customer service role
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas, preferably over the phone
  • Problem solver, perfect written and oral communication
  • Analytical profile with experience in customer service, telemarketing, customer experience.
  • Joy of building things from scratch, if something needs to be done you are reliable to provide solutions.
  • At ease in ambiguity, you are looking for adventure and an accelerated career path.
  • Ready to get your hands dirty, because you’re going to have to “roll up your sleeves”!
  • Willingness to work weekends, occasional holidays and outside of standard business hours of 9-5am. Fluency in English and other Nigerian languages.

  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (eg CRM software) and telephone systems.

Daily activities

  • You are expected to be punctual, deliver your work within the stipulated requirements for your role consistently. You shouldn’t miss deadlines or do things late.
  • You are required to maintain professional competence in matters of confidentiality and work ethics, in particular with regard to data and information security.
  • Great attention to detail is expected of you when handling member information to avoid legal consequences, violation of policy, and reporting of misinformation.
  • You must take care of all members assigned to you.
  • You are expected to take a creative approach to problem solving as expected in a startup environment, some tasks are not fully defined, but you are expected to take initiative to accomplish these tasks.

calls

  • All calls should be handled with courtesy, professionalism and the highest quality expected of our representative.
  • All call scripts must be adhered to and all calls must be handled in a timely manner by enforcing mandatory calling.
  • You must make at least 100 calls per day.
  • You are expected to respond to members through the channels assigned to you.

Cats

  • All cats must meet our required standard and cat etiquette must be followed.
  • All chats must be acknowledged within 5 minutes and all issues must be resolved immediately (when partners are not involved).
  • All available macros and answers provided relating to the respective chat should be applied.
  • All chats must be treated with courtesy, professionalism and the highest standard expected of our representative.
  • Remarks
  • You must preview member accounts and the notes associated with those accounts to understand the recorded member information.

REPORTS & MEETINGS
You are also required to provide the relevant information of your job in detail during Standups.
