Iron Mountain Bank closes grocery store branch

First National Bank & Trust today announced its decision not to renew its existing branch agreement with Tadych’s Marketplace Foods supermarket in Iron Mountain.

“Closing physical bank branches is a national trend as more consumers use digital banking and no longer need in-person transactions,” said David Kashian, President and CEO of First National. Bank & Trust. “Our customer traffic patterns are similar to national trends and are a direct result of our successful efforts to improve our suite of digital banking products. We will continue to maintain our three other regional branches for the convenience of our customers who prefer or require in-person banking. »

With this change in focus, First National Bank & Trust will continue to invest in and develop its digital capabilities, including mobile apps and online banking, strengthen its branch network and improve the tools used by bankers to personalize and improve the customer experience.

“I would like to thank Tadych’s Marketplace Foods for their continued collaboration, partnership and teamwork in a successful and beneficial relationship since 1995,” said Russ Kassin, President and Chief Loan Officer, First National Bank & Trust. “Our focus remains on creating personalized relationships and balancing the needs of our customers and that will not change.”

Tadych’s Marketplace Foods branch will cease operations on Monday, August 1, 2022, with employees currently working at the branch being reassigned to other locations within the bank.
